Where is Pemako
Pemako is located in the Northeastern part of the Indian State of Arunachal Pradesh.
Arunachal Pradesh is in the North Eastern part of India.

Indian Visa
All visitors to India need a Visa.
NO visa is issued upon arrival.
Please apply the INDIAN VISA at the Indian Embassy/Indian High Commission in your home country.

Arunachal Entry Formalities & Permits
Foreign Tourists intending to visit Arunachal Pradesh require Restricted Area Permit (RAP) which will be arranged by us in advance.

For the RAP application, we need the photocopy of the passport and the Indian Visa together with 04 passport size photograph. RAP cost US$50 per person (in a group of 04 person or more) for 10 days extendable by paying another $50 per person (in a group of 04 person or more) for another 10 days.

Getting there
For Tawang sector: (Western Arunachal)
The nearest airport is in Guwahati (Assam). It is well connected with Delhi and Kolkotta by regular flights. From Guwahati, the tour to Western Arunachal commences.

For Pemako/Oriah sector: (Eastern Arunachal)
The nearest airport is at Dibrugarh (Assam) and there are regular flights from Delhi and Kolkotta to Dibrugarh. From Dibrugarh, we will start the tour to the Eastern region of Arunachal.

Weather Condition

LOWER PEMAKO

During our journey we will experience a very pleasant weather, nice and sunny during the day time but night and early morning will be cold though it’s not freezing cold.

UPPER PEMAKO
This pilgrimage route opens from June till September (due to snow on the higher reaches), the region experiences monsoon at this time. We will experience rain heavily in the lower region but as we ascend, we will only feel the constant drizzle of rain or nice sunny weather.
We advise all our participants to get a good sleeping bag that can take minus 5 degree centigrade.

Accommodation and Food
The accommodation at all places in Arunachal Pradesh is very basic but clean. At most places, we use the Government guest houses. During trekking, we provide complete tented accommodation supported by a team of guide, cook, helper and porters/ponies/yaks.
Indian, Monpa and Chinese vegetarian food will be served throughout the journey.

Mode of Travels
Taking into the consideration the terrain, we use jeeps during the entire journey.

What to Pack
1. 1 good sleeping bag (minus 5 degree centigrade)
2. 1 good pair of walking shoes
3. 5 pairs of comfortable cotton socks
4. 2 pairs of woolen socks while sleeping in the tent
5. 1 cap/hat for the day
6. 1 pair of gloves
7. Mosquito and insect repellent cream/spray
8. 1 Sun screen cream (with UVA/UVB protection)

Altitude Sickness
Although altitude sickness normally occurs when there is no time for acclimatisation and when you go too high too fast, which is not the case here, it is advisable to be informed about some personal measures you can take to avoid this problem.

If you have asthma or any kind of chronical disease, like a heart disease or circulation afflictions, it will be appropriate for you to consult your physician before undertaking the journey.
