Ata Dorji Tenzing.Ata Dorji Tenzing

‘Ata’, as he is fondly called by all, meaning ‘elder brother’ in the native language, is born and brought up in a small village of Tashigang in Pemako. From his childhood, he has taken special interest in practicing the Dharma. His knowledge of the religion and the location of the holy sites of Pemako makes him indispensable. Currently he is the President of the ‘Chimi Yangsang Pemako Welfare Society’ looking after the welfare, preservation and maintenance of the Pemako Region.

 
 
Basant K. Giri

Basant K. Giri

Basant is based in New Delhi and runs the travel agency of H.H.Shabdrung Rinpoche (Spiritual Head of Bhutan) called ‘Druk Expeditions’. He has a decade of experience in trekking and conducting tours in the Himalayas and since the last 4 years, he has spent time exploring and conducting regular successful tours & treks in various parts of the Pemako region for the pilgrims and serious trekkers.

 
 
Oken Tayeng

Oken Tayeng

Oken is the partner of Basant and the proprietor of ‘Abor Country Travels’ based in Itanagar, the Capital of Arunachal Pradesh. He is the first private operator to take a foreigner to Tehtapuri and Dhanakosa in Pemako region. His experience and knowledge, together with his fun loving and simple attitude, makes him a ‘must have’ during the tour/treks.

 
 
Gabriela Gabriela lives currently in Lisbon, Portugal. She grew up in France and also lived in Brasil, Austria, Spain and Germany (15 years) where she completed her university. She is a translater, writer and a Tai Ji Quan and Qi Gong teacher. Gabriela has done many research work on Pemako which will be uploaded on the site regularly. We recommend all our European guest to get in touch with her for any indepth answers relating to Pemako
